Student Loans and Grants

Happy Friday everyone

Few months ago, I've been accepted in a school in New York and I would like to know if you guys know where I could find a "loan/grant" program for Canadian actors going to Study in the states.

I've contacted "The Canada Council for the Arts" already and after few correspondence with the "acting" and the "Equity" (I am a visual minority) departments they told me that I was not illegible since I did not have enough hours on stage.

I do have enough hours for Film and TV but not enough on the Theater Stage and... Stage Actors are their main focus. Anyhow since then I've been trying to find a program that supports us film actors and.... I don't seem to be getting any luck. Everything I found so far is focus on Theater performers.

Maybe my "google-ing" skills have deserted me but I do need your assistance.

Any help will be huge.
